I've been tagged (once more ) by dear to give you eight facts about my Dunmer, Jolinar Telvanni. But, as I've already done her, I figured, hey! I have other characters! (I actually have a lot; someone remind me to do a journal). Leara's cool, but she's just as publicized as Jolinar and Artanis, but I have still more than my Elven Trio (there are other elves, but you know what I mean).
May I present...Oromis Clamal-dust.

1. Oromis is the eldest of four children. Despite his mother's wishes, he decided to travel to Cyrodiil some thirty years before the Oblivion Crisis to join the University. After spending several years doing work and studying in the various mages' halls throughout the province, he made it to a full time position as a researcher for the Arcane University by the time his sister showed up.
2. Oromis is named after his mother's grandfather, whose work as a Destruction mage inspired both Oromis and his sister, though the elder Oromis dealt more in the old poison aspect of the college, whereas the two younger Altmer dealt better with electricity.
3. Oromis' favorite color is a dark crimson. For the longest time he couldn't figure out why, though later in life he found an odd pleasure in fingerprinting with the color, especially when the canvas was a body.
4. Once Oromis had to go to Elsweyr for the Council of Mages for some bureuarcratic stuff. He ended up eating five pounds of refined moonsugar. After he came down from the terrifying month long high, Oromis swore off sweets, though ultimately he still had a sweet tooth that he tried not to indulge. Much.
5. Oromis and his brothers, Amroth and Rumil, used to go swimming along the coast near the city of Dusk every summer when they visited the town, and they would let their sister tag along. When Avarenya nearly drowned after falling from the pier, their father forbid them from going down to the beach. This signaled the beginning of the sibling rift between Oromis and Avarenya with Amroth and Rumil.
6. A few years before the Oblivion Crisis Oromis was to set out from the University for Bravil to gain notes from Delphine Jend on her newly developed Enemies Explode spell. Somehow, he found himself investigating a strange door out on the bay, and soon found himself in Oblivion.
7. Oromis is, in fact, Sheogorath, a position he very much enjoys (or doesn't). After disposing of his most recent Duke of Mania, he made his deceased niece Marelen the duchess to cheer her up (or to depress everyone else). While she is the longest reigning of the House of Mania, the ruler of Dementia gets replaced nearly every third Friday.
8. Oromis decided to take a vacation one day and left Haskill in charge. For several decades he chilled out in the mind of the mad emperor, Pelagius III ("At least ye didn't leave my sister destitute with twins!"), until the Archmage of Winterhold appeared there to "retrieve that poor fellow's master," where upon Oromis made a comment about her hair and cheese. Even after returning to the Isles, he swore up and down to anyone who would listen (and everyone who wouldn't) that he was going to nag "that darling edible Dunmer" from Nocturnal.
Well, that was a heck of a lot of fun. Really. I do love my Oromis Clamal-dust. He's my first decent male character.
Plus, bonus cameo at the end by Jolinar, the original Tag Candidate!
And I tag...everyone and anyone and no one at all.

What Do Fanworks Mean To Me?
It's International Fanworks Day and by stars, I'm not missing it again.
#whatfanworksmeantome
"What do fanworks mean to me?" I ask myself while posting the third chapter to my Hobbit/Elder Scrolls fanfic on FFN and ao3. "That's a loaded question," I tell myself.
Fanworks mean everything to me. They're what taught me to write and to draw, to be artistic, to know that imagination has a place even in the day to day lives of adults, and for a girl who was once shy child and later a lonely teen, that means everything to me.
I loved stories as a small child. Being read to was one of my absolute favorite things. The Chronicles of Narnia were rea
Memory: The Phantoms in My Mind
Bonsoir,
After nearly four years, my dramatics should be familiar to many of you...as well as my setbacks, epic fails, issues with abandoning things, and quitting and leaving and just being a generally horrible time keeper, and such.
Recap time.
Who remembers The Altmer, the Septim, and the Doctor and my ideas for an epic The Elder Scrolls x Anything short story crossover series? I wrote that before I'd ever played Skyrim, so it was definitely in 2013, Autumn, I believe. Averin Peredhil and Martin Septim are about to create the portal to paradise when a strange man in a bowtie magically appears and history is changed forever. In the end, t
Bonsoir, Mes Amis!
I found a meme/tag! I haven't done one in ages, so, I'll do this one. Let's find out where Winter's mind goes during the summer...

3.) What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Erm, Stargate: SG-1!
4.) Without looking guess what time it is?

Winter Forecast: Sleepy With A Chance Of Politics
Hey everyone, I thought I'd check in to let you know how I've been, as I've been rather inactive of late (i.e. the last since forever).
First, I'm doing fine, and when I say that, I mean I'm actually really tired and I feel like I'm being torn in several different directions (write your book, do your coursework, practice such and such instrument, read this book, reorganize everything, practice drawing, etc. ...). I'm not depressed or anything, I just haven't an idea at all which direction has the strongest magnetic pull. Thankfully, I finished organizing a Christmas program I was asked to write, but there's still a million other things on my
